The 6 Day Grand Irish Adventure
Get a taste of rural Ireland life, the tastes and timely beauty alongside activities such as farming, fishing and golf on the Wild Atlantic Way and into Northern Ireland. Visit the Guinness storehouse and sample directly at the birthplace of the dark Irish dry stout. Build your courage and try Irish dancing and music or visit the Neolithic tombs spread out across the highest summits and ledges of the northern ends of the Bricklieve Mountains in County Sligo.

Day 1 – Dublin – Phoenix Park – Guinness Storehouse
Waking up in the beautiful Emerald isles with a walk around Europe’s largest city park. Home to the president of Ireland and a large herd of fallow deer amongst other wildlife, flora and fauna.
After your stroll, it is time to visit the Guinness storehouse in Dublin and sample the black stuff and try to perfect and pour your own followed by dinner, Irish dancing and music.

- How’s she cutting? – meaning – how are you?
- Where’s the jax? – meaning – Where’s the toilet?
- I am bleedin banjaxed! – meaning – I am drunk!
Day 2 – Galway – Half Day Fishing Trip – Galway Tour
Take a beautiful bus trip to the Wild Atlantic Way on the west coast of Ireland to Galway city and experience fishing off Galway bay. Catch your own lunch and cook it locally.
After lunch experience a guided tour of the history and heritage of Galway city spanning centuries by one of the local’s best-loved characters Liam Silke.
Some local slang to help mingle with the locals:
- Take her handy! – meaning – do not get too boisterous now
- You’re some man for one man! – meaning – this is the height of praise
- Schtop! – meaning – an exclamation of disbelief
Day 3 – Mayo – Louisburgh – Glen Keen farm – Killary Harbour
A Short bus journey to Glen keen farm. Here you will experience farm life in the beautiful rural area of County Mayo, you will learn about sheep farming and the traditional instruments of Ireland. You will also have the opportunity of making and tasting an Irish coffee made from the finest whiskey.
Back on the bus and our next stop Killary harbour, Leenane village which is famous for the setting of the play and movie of John B Keane’s “The Field”. It sits at Ireland’s only fjord’s mouth and acts as a border between County Mayo and County Galway. A place of Ancient history and Hollywood moments, you might be lucky to get a glimpse of the fjord’s resident school of Dolphins.
Onwards to Castledargan hotel in Sligo and check-in.
Day 4 – Sligo – Castledargan Hotel, Spa and Golf course – Northern Ireland/Derry
Waking up in Castledargan hotel, you can see its’ championship golf course where you can hit a few balls or experience pampering and relaxation at the hotel’s exclusive spa.
After the morning activities, it is a short bus ride to Carrowkeel. . This is one of the most mysterious of the megalithic complexes. The remarkable series of neolithic monuments are spread out across the highest summits and ledges of the northern ends of the Bricklieve Mountains in County Sligo. This passage tombs date back 6000 years.
The next stop is Derry, a city close to the border of Ireland. It is known as one of the oldest intact walled cities in Europe, it is rich in Ancient and political history. Nestled on the banks of the River Foyle, it has been named a “city of culture” This legacy has helped bring together Unionist and Nationalist communities from both sides of the political divide.

- Walk the historic city walls and take in the panoramic views of the city.
Day 5 – Giants Causeway – Belfast
After breakfast, it is onto the Coach and a short journey to the geological wonder of the Giants causeway, which was declared a World Heritage site by Unesco in 1986 due to its’ polygonal columns of layered basalt. On route, you will visit some of the Game of Thrones locations and ultimately Bushmills Irish Whiskey distillery to sample one of Ireland’s favourite tipples.
Stopping for lunch at MINI Maegden, a little campervan that is a foodie’s heaven with local cheeses, meats and pickles.
Coach travel to Belfast and check in to the hotel and relax.
Day 6 – Titanic Museum – Dublin
Start the day with an early visit to the Titanic museum and learn about the famed Ocean liner that sunk in 1912 after it hit an iceberg during its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City.
Lunch at the “House of Zen” Chinese restaurant nestled in the heart of the cathedral quarter
Return to Dublin and check into your hotel.
